Got an interesting call today, a mechanic down in Florida was getting a time out fault for one of our controllers. The controller was trying to run the elevator but it just woudn't move. Come to find out after 10 minutes of talking with him that the temperature was 31 degrees and the controller/oil tank was located outside.
He was going to install a tank heater to correct the problem. Wanted to share that information with everyone incase you have controllers/hydraulics located in outside locations. Both extreme heat and cold oil can cause an elevator not to run well.
